On to October! Only two months late...

First look:

pores no more vacuum cleaner

Sample size: 0.25 oz (Full size: $45)

"Award-winning gel that degunks pores for fewer blackheads and smoother skin. Two or three times weekly, apply a thin layer to areas of concern. Rinse after 5-10 minutes."

This sounds like a great product. I've definitely got some "concern areas" that can use some assistance!

Essential Elements

Essential Elements Wake Up Rosemary Shower Gel

Sample size: 1.5 fl oz (Full size: $19)

"Luxe cleanser that infuses skin with nourishing honey and softening rosemary and mint oils. Massage onto damp skin with a washcloth or loofah to generate lather. Rinse clean."

The scent is certainly invigorating, but a bit medicinal to me. I will be swapping this product away. 

Harvey Prince

Petaly Noir perfume

Sample size: unknown (Full size: $55)

"Lush flor scent that evokes a midnight stroll among blossoming orchids. Spritz onto pulse points for a burst of jasmine, orchid, lily of the valley, and vanilla."

Harvey Prince perfume samples two months in a row?! Why Birchbox?! Why?? This is off to be swapped.

High Shine Liquid Lipstick - Petal to the Metal

Full size sample! Sample size: 0.12 oz (Full size: $20)

"This ultrashiny formula acts as a lip gloss, lip primer, lipstick, and liner all in one. Turn dial on bottom of pen to release pigment, then brush onto lips."

I picked this as my sample choice, although I wasn't thrilled about it. I had to turn the dial a lot before I actually got any product out the first time. A bit sticky for me too.

POWERLASH High Impact Black Mascara

Sample size: 0.12 fl oz (Full size: $20)

"With a unique brush, this Australian brand's mascara adds length and volume to every lash. Coat lashes from base to tip, slightly wiggling wand as you go. Layer for extra drama."

More black mascara. Woo... I do love this brand, but I will be swapping this item.

Summary: a meh box this month. Most items are being swapped, and nothing I am really excited for or loving.
