July's theme is: "The Poolside Collection."

What it does: Allows oxygen to permeate the nail bed, encouraging strong, healthy nail growth Creates a glossy protective seal that extends the life of your nail color Works with our Color Treat nail polishand Oxygen Smoothing Base Coat to create a long-wear system that lets your nails breathe"
I have been mulling over buying Alexandra basically since becoming a maven. I go back and forth on swatch pics whether I like the color or not. I'm still undecided. My cousin's name is Alexandra, and her birthday is next month so they may turn into a present for her.
First look:
Woo hoo! All my items were actually in my box. Way to go Julep!
Tamara
"Lipstick red crème"
$14/$11.20 maven
I love a good red polish! Tamara is a nice, bright red. I plan to pair her with one of my many black and white dresses.
Lorenzana
"Shiitake crème"
$14/$11.20 maven
I picked this profile for Lorenzana. I love neutral polishes, and even though some of the brights were seriously calling my name I decided I would be practical and go with the two colors I would actually wear.
Bare Body Milk
$24/$19.20 maven
"Dare to go Bare.
What it is:
An ultra hydrating body lotion for thirsty skin. The lightweight, fast-absorbing formula leaves a soft, silky finish that’s not heavy or greasy, and our signature Beach Tonic fragrance lets you smell like summer all year long.
What it does:
- Milk thistle locks in moisture and helps protect against environmental factors.
- Olive oil delivers essential fatty acids to hydrate and repair.
- Grapefruit oil promotes cell turnover.
- Orange peel oil brightens dry, dull skin."
I was actually excited to try this lotion, don't ask my why. I haven't smelled the Beach Tonic before but from what I had read I was expecting a very beachy scent. Not so much. I don't even know how I would describe this smell, or if I even like it. I may be attempting to swap this item.
The mystery incentive for taking three add-ons was back this month, so of course I had to use all my spots again.
Vicki was my favorite color this month. She is such a fun, bright pink. I love pink as a pedi color and this shade will be great for summer.
Mystery polish - Bombshell
($4.99 as an add-on)
Note this title says Bombshell. One would think with that title the mystery polish would be from that style profile. One would be wrong.
Cynthia - Classic with a Twist
"Desert sand microglitter"
$14/$11.20 maven
So, yeah. This polish is a CwaT. WTF Julep?! I specifically chose this add-on because it was listed as Bombshell. I like Cynthia and would have been happy to receive it if I hadn't just ordered it last month. Le sigh. I sent an email to Julep with a screen shot of the Bombshell description asking for an explanation. That was five days ago, and no response. Granted three of those days were holiday/weekend. I'm giving them until Tuesday to respond before emailing again. Last month it took three emails before I received a response.
Oxygen Performance Top Coat
$18/$14.40 maven
($9.99 as an add-on)

"Add shine and stamina to your nail polish
What it is:
A fast-drying, long-wearing top coat powered by breakthrough Oxygen Technology, nutrient-rich caviar extract, and scratch-resistant platinum.
I wanted to try this product last month, but it sold out before I could add it on. I don't love the Freedom Top Coat, so hoping this one is better.
The mystery bonus for using all add-on spots was again a polish duo. The first spoilers I saw online were colors I already had, so I was pleasantly surprised to get two different colors. Both from my wishlist!
Alexandra - Boho Glam
"Blonde crème"
$14/$11.20 maven
($10 on sale!)
Farrah - It Girl
"Lilac silk"
$14/$11.20 maven
I did a happy dance over this one! I love the silk finish polishes, and have been wanting Farrah since her release! So happy to finally have her!
Julep tossed in more candy this month:
The monthly coupon code is 30% off the Bare Body Milk and Bare Body Polish.
Summary: I feel like I scored a lot of polishes this month, and am happy about all of the colors. The mystery polish being the exception, but I am hopeful for Julep to remedy that in some way.
