Wantable Accessories: June 2014

I've held off putting this post together because it was another disappointing month. So much so that I am seriously debating canceling. Have a look...

This month included a selfie taking insert:

Apparently Wantable is going back to plastic bags instead of the black velvet pouches. Three of my items were in the plastic bag.

In no particular order:

Alexis Necklace

($24 retail value)

This necklace combines two of my least favorite jewelry components: gold and beads. Beads! Gaah! I really dislike beaded jewelry. I have told this to Wantable on every quiz, and yet here it is again. So. Not. Cool.

Brooke Bracelet

($16 retail value)

"The Brooke Bracelet is the perfect multi tone classic toggle bracelet. Style Tip: This bracelet is perfect with a red polish."

Like past bracelets from Wantable, I am not a toggle fan and the links of this bracelet are cheap. Plus, it is a bit tight on my wrist.

Allyson Earrings

($18 retail value)

"The Allyson Earrings are emerald-cut rhinestone studs. Style Tip: These glistening earrings are beautiful on their own for everyday or would pair beautifully with other accessories from your collection for a night out or fancy event."

This is the one item from my box that I liked. Loved in fact. I actually wore them out to dinner that same night. Why can't all my items, or at least 3/4 of them, be this cute?!

Jane Bracelet

($18 retail value)

My first thought on seeing this bracelet was a flashback to the ident-a-kid bracelets I had back in elementary school. Ugh. There was also a strange tag attached to it.

I'm sure it is some kind of internal acronym, but I feel like the bracelet is telling me to die. Not something one wants in an accessory. This bracelet is also super small, so maybe it was made for an elementary school kid. 

Summary: I liked one of the four items. I returned the other three items for a partial refund. Is my hope that one day Wantable will send a complete box I love too much of a dream?!
