Love with Food: June 2014

I enjoyed Love with Food so much last month that I decided to keep it going! This month the theme is: take me out to the ballgame.

The backside has the list of food items. I am once again impressed so many items could fit in the box.

On to the food!

YumEarth Organics
Pineapple, Raspberry and Mango Fruit Snacks
Sample size: 1 pouch

"Welcome the summer sunshine with these fun tropical snacks made with real fruit extracts and no gluten, dairy, nuts, or soy."

I don't know if it is an inner child thing or what, but I love fruit snacks. These sound delicious and I can't wait to eat them for lunch tomorrow!

Tree Hugger Gum
Gum Ball
Sample size: 1 ball

"Pro ball teams can chomp through over 10 cases of gum a season, but we'd recommend this all-natural, vegan, non-GMO version for your next chew."

As you can see my gum ball had some trouble en route and arrived a bit smashed. Oh well, I'm sure it is still delicious.

Snikiddy
Cheddar Baked Fries
Sample size: 1 oz

"Skip the lines for garlic fries and try these all-natural, non-GMO, baked cheddar fries - with all the flavor but half the fat of traditional fried snacks."

These are probably the least appealing item in the box, but that is simply personal preference. For someone who likes cheese fried these may be delicious.

The Cookie Department
Snap Back Cookie
Sample size: 1.5 oz

"Whenever it's time to get your game face on, the natural detoxifiers in these cookies will help you snap to attention."

I'm not entirely sure how one detoxes with a cookie, but whatevs I'll try it. The cookie looks summer yummy.

G.H. Cretors
Chicago Mix
Sample size: 1.5 oz

"Shake up this bag before opening for a combination of sweet & salty that knocks it outta the park."

Funny enough, a former co-worker of mine moved to Chicago last year and sent the office a tub if popcorn for Christmas. I can vouch that this mix is the real Chicago mix. I love popcorn and I will enjoy this as a work snack.

StoneridgeOrchards
Montmorency Cherries
Sample size: 1 oz

"These dried cherries have the perfect tart bite, and have been grown in the USA by the same family farmers for generations."

At first glance I thought these were cherry fruit snacks and was really excited. They are actually whole dried tart cherries. A dollar off coupon was included:

On the back is a recipe for Dried Tart Cherries & Goat Cheese on Whole Basil Leaves.

Jolly Oak
Good For You Granola, Almond Butter & Jelly Sandwich
Sample size: 1.63 oz

"You'll be ready to swing for the fences after starting your day with this all-natural, non-GMO superfood granola."

The PB&J twist on this granola is interesting. I am looking forward to having it with some yogurt for breakfast.

Dulcetto
Chocolate Cookies
Sample size: 0.7 oz

"Whether it's game day or just Tuesday, you don't need a special occasion to indulge in this 100-calorie pack of crispy creamy cookies."

These look really good. I'm going to save them for when I need a chocolate fix at work.

There were also a few other offers...

With a recipe on the back:

And finally, a deal on wine!

Summary: I think this box is a lot of fun and packed a good value. I will be trying next month's box too!
