Inevitably Chic: August 2014

This is my third and last month with Inevitably Chic, an accessories box with two options: one item a month for $15 or three items for $25. I was subscribed to the three item option.

I really enjoyed my first month's box, but the last two have been complete misses for me. Sadly, no refunds are given so I simply cannot wait for a good box to come my way. Not at $25 a month.

Based on my feedback from July I was assigned a new stylist for this month, Kate. She also included a note, and this time a retail price for each item was included.

First look:

Lavender sequined wrap
(Retails value: $34)

Per Kate, "This wrap is very beautiful and versatile. It can also be worn as a scarf!"

I love a good scarf, and if this one didn't have the hideous sequin flowers it would have been alright. However, it will be making its way to the swap shop.

Flower Fresh crystal embellished earrings
(Retail value: $24)

"These earrings have silver times and gold undertones. When worn the crystal reflects silver."

These are okay, but the quality seems cheap. Off to be swapped they go...

Andante stone and quartz stretch bracelet
(Retail value: $29)

"I know you typically prefer bangle bracelets but I sent this one because it pairs beautifully with the wrap. The stone and quartz are great colors and they always feels cold to the touch when you put it on but don't worry your body ten pasture will warm it up! It's a unique piece."

This looks like something out of "The Flintstones" - Betty Rubble Collection. I am a bit peeved that the stylist ignored my request to avoid stretch bracelets, and sent one anyway. Also, in what universe does this pair with the scarf?! Except for the fact that they are both hideous. Swap shop, here is comes!

Summary: this month was another complete miss for me. I have cancelled my subscription, but I am tempted to send feed back anyway. I did leave a bit on the cancellation form.
