Beauty swaps (part 2)

I have really been enjoying swapping on eDivv! Everyday I come home excited to check the mail. 

Fifth swap

I hadn't heard of Nicka K until receiving one of their polishes in my first beauty swap. Both the Classic Taupe and Ripe Apple polishes were featured in the December 2013 ipsy bag. As soon as I saw the samples of the Ripe Apple I knew I had to have it. I was very happy to trade yet another tinted face cream for this polish.

Sixth swap

As I said above, yet another tinted face cream. Ugh. I'm really hoping to see fewer of these in my subscription boxes. For this swap, I traded Benefit POREfessional for Klorane Soothing and Relaxing Eye Patches. I have never tried the Klorane brand before, and I am looking forward to using these in the near future. Klorane also makes a dry shampoo that I am hopeful of sampling one day in my birchbox.

Seventh swap

My first local swap! For this one I traded Pixi Face Primer for the Chella eyeliner in the March 2014 ipsy bag. I was excited to learn that the person I was swapping with was a fellow Washington resident - less than 50 miles away. I figured being local, I would have my divvy in a day - two at the most. Wrong. I do not know what the issue was, but it took two weeks to arrive. Bethany, my divvy partner, had it sent back to her twice. 

The eyeliner is indigo blue and has a felt marker tip.

I'm excited to test this color out. I haven't used this kind of eyeliner in a long time, so I think some trial and error will be in my future.

Eighth swap

I felt bad about swapping this tiny little tube of Air Repair Rescue Balm for a lip gloss, but I offered up anything and Darah chose the balm. She also sent a bonus item: a Befine warming clay mask.

The bareMinerals Marvelous Moxie lip gloss in Rebel was featured in this month's ipsy bag. I received the lip stick, but I use lip gloss much more frequently. The lip gloss has a minty smell which puts me in mind of Girl Scout Thin Mint cookies, but that may be because I was eating them yesterday. Rebel is a nice shade of pink, and I think it will pair well with the lipstick.

I noticed the return address sticker on the package I received was for Sweet Tea Polish in South Carolina. I went to their website, and discovered Darah makes and sells nail polish inspired by the South. It looks like great polish, and she even has a monthly subscription box. I may just need to subscribe.  www.sweetteapolish.com
