Beauty swaps

The fruits of my sample swapping have been arriving this week. It is so fun to open my mail box and have new swaps waiting!

First swap

This swap actually took place via ipsy comments on the yaby page, but it was still my first swap. I traded the yaby foundation in buff for a Nicka K polish in Classic Taupe. I'm very happy with the polish, but in hindsight I traded the foundation ($13 value) for a polish only worth about $5. I still consider it a win though since I will use the polish, and I never would have used the foundation.

The woman I swapped with also included her card. Azura is an artist/designer, and her website is www.artazura.com.

Second swap
(First eDivv swap)

I've written about this trade before. I was really excited to swap the Burt's Bees Ultimate Care Hand Cream because the smell was horrible. I picked the Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque from Rhonda. The tube is huge! She also sent some fun extras.

Third swap

Can you tell I like nail polish yet?? I very happily traded Kelly the giant City Color Be Matte Blush in Fresh Melon from my ipsy bag for a Color Club polish in Dark'n Stormy.

This is a small polish, and not one of my favorite brands but I like the other Color Club polish I have (On the Rocks). Plus, this color will accent nicely with that one. And again, I was never going to use the blush but I will use the polish.

Fourth swap

I achieved my holy grail of swaps: a Julep polish!! I traded Lauren my Dr. Jart Beauty Balm for her Julep Michelle polish.

Lauren sent a note and some candies with the polish. (I threw the candy away before taking the pic. They were wrapped, but I do not eat candy from strangers.) Her note includes her Instagram, which is lhyman88.

That sums up my swaps, so far. (I have about three more in the offing.) I am very pleased with the items I have received, and looking forward to more trades!

My eDivv "shop" is: http://edivv.com/items?shop_id=936. Come swap with me!  :-)
