Polish review: Zoya Odette

I wasn't planning on posting a full review of this polish, but I loved it so much I couldn't resist. That said, I apologize for the lack of photos. I received Odette as part of my February ipsy bag.

This was my first Zoya polish, so I wasn't sure what to expect. Being a big Julep fan, it took me awhile to actually take this polish for a spin. In fact, it was an experimental Julep mani gone wrong that finally made me use Odette. I needed a color to break up an all black and white outfit and also be professional for the work place. This color nailed that, and was also perfect for casual, everyday wear too.

Odette is pretty in the bottle, but even better on the nail. The purple is actually a cooler color tone than it first appears to be. I applied two coats, and was impressed with both the formula and the coverage. The polish was easy to apply, neither too thick or too thin. Even without a top coat, it dried to a nice shiny finish. Since I assumed I would just be keeping this mani for a day or two, I didn't bother to apply a top coat.

This is Odette in natural light. Again, I apologize for the lack of photos. I didn't take one in indoor light. This polish wore well, lasting almost a week with no major chips. I'm sure with a top coat or base coat, it would have lasted longer. I was really sad to finally take the polish remover to it this morning.

I'm now a converted Zoya fan, and look forward to adding many more colors to my collection in future. Any other Zoya fans out there??
